Who we Are
Tapsil Jati Adibasi Praktan Sainik Krishi Bikash Shilpa Kendra
Over the past 34 years, T.J.A.P.S.K.B.S.K. has carved an inspiring journey—marked by remarkable achievements, unparalleled growth, and transformative development. Despite the many challenges inherited from earlier circumstances, our committed vision, strategic planning, and unwavering implementation of the 20-Point Programme have brought this institution to the forefront of progress.
We have remained steadfast in our commitment to a transparent, accountable, and corruption-free administration—serving the people with sincerity and purpose. Every success we celebrate is the result of relentless teamwork, community trust, and the untiring efforts of the hardworking people we are proud to serve.
Echoing the wisdom of Kautilya, “It is the people who constitute a kingdom; a kingdom without people is like a barren cow—yielding nothing.” Our people are the heart of this organization, and we are humbled to serve them. For us, serving the community is akin to stepping into a sacred space—a shrine of dedication and selflessness.
Over the years, our organization has implemented several visionary policies in West Bengal—ranging from harnessing power potential to promoting industrialization and sustainable tourism. These forward-looking initiatives have laid the foundation for inclusive socio-economic development and community empowerment.
Today, we proudly state that T.J.A.P.S.K.B.S.K. stands as a model of regional development, not just within West Bengal, but across India. Our programs have led to significant strides in education, women empowerment, health, agriculture, infrastructure, and employment generation.
Notably, Planning Commission reports and national surveys have highlighted our high performance in human resource development, rural upliftment, and women’s participation in the economy—crediting it to a powerful synergy between government efforts and grassroots participation.
However, despite our contributions, national recognition for T.J.A.P.S.K.B.S.K. is still pending. It’s important to recall that on January 14, 1982, former Prime Minister Smt. Indira Gandhi recognized our blueprint and visionary programme by declaring it as part of the New 20-Point Programme from the historic Red Fort, New Delhi. She personally directed her officers to assist the Government of West Bengal in supporting our mission. The following year, on April 16, 1983, this programme was officially nationalized (Vide Order No. F-2-38(4)83 PMPI) and we were directed to implement it in West Bengal.
